How it works

Four simple steps, from prescription to your report.

  1. 1

    Prescription & registration

Your physician gives you a prescription. Visit the laboratory with your prescription and the sample if it was collected by your doctor or surgeon.

  2. 2

    Sample collection

Depending on the case, the sample (biopsy, fine-needle aspiration…) is collected at the laboratory under strict aseptic conditions, or forwarded by the prescribing department.

  3. 3

    Laboratory analysis

The specimen follows a controlled workflow: fixation, embedding, sectioning, staining, then microscopic examination. Additional techniques (immunohistochemistry) are performed when needed.

  4. 4

    Results & report

Your clear, structured report is delivered as quickly as possible and forwarded to your prescribing physician for the rest of your care.

Good to know

For fine-needle aspirations, light fasting may be requested depending on the site. Please ask the laboratory when booking your appointment.
